Perks Tier List

This perks tier list ranks situational tools and power-ups in Fling to Climb! by how often they save a real climb. For system explanations, read perks and power-ups. Permanent Robux unlocks are ranked separately on the game pass tier list.

Because perk names and drop rates can shift during active updates, we rank roles first. When a patch renames a tool, the role ranking still applies.

Tier board by role

TierRoleWhy
SExtended grab / reach burstConverts near-misses into re-grips on ice, wind exits, and bump recoveries
AMovement / control burstHelps stabilize approaches before a hard belt
BDefensive anti-disrupt toolsUseful in toxic lobbies; situational on quiet servers
BPlayer-fling offenseHigh fun and high drama; strong only when you accept the social war
CPure flex / novelty burstsEntertaining, rarely the reason you gained a checkpoint

S-tier — Extended grab roles

Anything that plays like a temporary Double Length moment is S for climb value. Ideal on:

If you also own permanent Double Length, grab perks become comfort rather than necessity — still excellent, just easier to play around.

A-tier — Control and approach bursts

Buffs that calm a messy approach into a wind or lava belt rank A when timed from a checkpoint. Activate after the climb checklist says you are ready, not mid-menu in Shop (coins and skins).

B-tier — Player interaction tools

Offensive player flings are content gold and progress poison. Rank B overall: A for chaos enjoyers, D for quiet PB attempts. Defensive tools that reduce being yeeted climb to A in grief lobbies and fall to C in empty servers.

C-tier — Novelty power-ups

If a burst mainly changes visuals, joke knockback, or low-impact gimmicks, treat it as seasoning. Fun on Players Hub flex clips; not a summit plan.

Perks vs passes vs scripts

Passes are permanent; perks are situational; scripts are how you lose the account. The experience promises instant permanent bans for hacking. See Scripts Hub and buy legitimate tools only.

Pick the perk role that deletes your most common failure, then keep practicing the free fundamentals that still carry every clear.

Patch-day reminder

When the developers push a balance pass, perk drop rates and names can shift overnight. Re-read perks and power-ups after each note on the Updates Hub before you assume yesterday’s S-tier grab tool still exists under the same label.
